Carla M. Mathers, Esq., SC: L has practiced law in Maryland and the District of Columbia for over twenty years, yet her passion is practicing and teaching legal interpreting. She studied law at Howard University School of Law. Her interpreting degree is from the College of Southern Idaho. Ms. Mathers served on the Advisory Group for Language Access to develop standards for language access in courts for the American Bar Association. She has served as an adjunct instructor for the Gallaudet University Department of Interpretation teaching legal interpreting.
