Kellie, M.Ed., is a veteran interpreter, and interpreter educator, who Chairs the ASL Interpreting Program at Central Piedmont Community College. Kellie completed her Masters in Education at Northeastern University in 2007, and is a current Doctoral student at Northeastern University in the Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leadership (CTLL) Program. Kellie’s research interests include culturally relevant and responsive teaching, implicit bias and its effects on ethical decision-making, understanding the effects of power in d/Deaf consumer – interpreter relationships, etc.
